Hello ladies! My husband and I just moved to San Diego about a month ago. We are trying to find a house, but we are running into a small problem. A lot of the houses we like don't have air conditioners. Our realtor told us that it is pretty common out here for homes not to have AC. Well we are from the south and really, really like our air conditioner.
So my question is, does any one have any good recs for decent priced and reputable (sp) companies in the area?? I am clueless as to who to see about quoting prices. TIA!

Re: Air conditioner recs...
The no A/C thing is typically only found on the coast- you definitely need A/C if you live inland and most of the homes that are inland have A/C (except for ours!)
We had a/c and central heat installed last June when we bought our home and used Hughes. My Mom runs a property maintenance company and this is who she uses. They were fast, inexpensive and we haven't had any issues since it was installed. Definitely get a few quotes since the price can vary greatly from company to company.
