Re: If one more person!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh honey, join the club. It's a million times more frustrating for someone like me seeking treatment and still having the million nosey clueless people asking constantly when we're having a baby.
I feel your pain.
How long have you been TTC?

Well when DH and I got together in 2004 I started taking BCP. I only took that for about 10 months (it was causing me way too many problems) and I stopped. 3 years later, I had never gotten pregnant. Never had the "oops", so once we got married it really started to sink in.
A part of me just knew something was not right.
DH and I decided that we would wait 6-8 months before actively trying. We were married 11/07 and in 5/08 we went to see an OB for sort of a pre-TTC consult. She told me that we would not do any testing yet (all the tests are painful and intrusive). She wanted me to try for months before running tests. Well at the end of June/beginning of July 2008 I got pregnant and had a chemical pregnancy (it's a very early m/c that happens before the sac forms). By December, I still was not pg again. The company I worked for had just switch insurances so I needed to find a new OB. Once I found one it took me 2 months to get an appointment with her. In March /April of this year we had some blood work and an ultrasound done. I was diagnosed with PCOS. Because of the PCOS charting and using OPK's does not work for me.
In June of this year I decided to seek out an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist). My first appointment with them was July 2nd and we've been in and out of that office since then. It's a mission because we lives in Homestead and the RE is in Pines but oh well! I've done all the testing, which has not been fun. AT ALL. My husband got tested also and although some of his numbers are off in some places he is way above average in the more important areas.
We were supposed to begin IUI treatments last month but I had a huge cyst on my right ovary that caused them to cancel it. Right now I'm on BCP again to try to get rid of it.
I would say if it's already been 7 months bring it up to your doctor and see what she says. Sometimes they can tell a lot by just the hormone blood tests. Most insurance won't cover extensive treatment until you have been TTC for at least 12 months. At that point they consider you infertile.
I truly wish you the best of luck. It can be truly frustrating at times and there will be people in your life that just don't get it. Not everyone gets pregnant the first month they try and some women just don't understand they need to be sensitive to those of us that aren't that lucky. Soon the "just relax and it will happen" and the "when the time is right it will happen" comments will drive you nuts too but just keep your head up. Thankfully, I'm still able to remain positive about the process and the outcome. I'm hoping it will last
Check out the Getting Pregnant board. The girls there are great and can provide some insight and advice. I hope that you never have to get to that point where it's been over a year, but the Trouble TTC board is amazing as well.
Also, feel free to email me or page me if you have any questions or just need to vent

Aw sorry you are going through this, Jayme! I can only imagine how frustrating it is to be asked about it all the time. From what I have heard, up to a year is totally normal for your first child if you are worried at all. I would try reading that book and charting, I know a few people that have had a lot of luck with it.
Oh and if it makes you feel any better, I think people actually avoid asking me this question because they assume I can't have children because of my MS. lol You can tell if we brooch the subject people get really uncomfortable. Sometimes then I start to get uncomfortable because they are uncomfortable!
Hang in there!
Sorry you have to deal with such tactless people. It's not easy, but it would be best if maybe you told someone like your mom that this frustrates you. She can be the messenger to the rest of the nosy members who are always "curious" For everyone else just say "NO, and I want to leave it at that" if they have any common sense they will no not the continue the subject.
Hope it gets better, but I do suggest going to the ttc board. From what I've heard those girls are great and can share some great advise as well.
GL! and if you need to blow up at your family so they can get a hint I say, Go for it! lol
Make a pregnancy ticker
UGH, I completely understand what you are going through, it becomes annoying after so many times!!!! I know some people are blessed to get pregnant the first time trying of even without trying but others are not.
We have decided to TTC almost a year ago but have not told anyone because we do not want to be questioned everyday if we are KU (knocked up) yet, So I leave it up to my DH to tell everyone that money is tight so we want to wait atleast a year or so. And when (hopefully) if happens we will just surprise everyone.
At my annual doctors apt with my ob/gyn I told her we were trying for almost a year and no luck and she kind of brushed it off her shoulders and told me we need to try for a whole year. This really upsets me that they tell you this, because if you have already been trying and know your body enough to say that something is going wrong why would they make us wait 3-4 more months of negative pregnancy test?!?! when you speak to your doctor be strong and tell them you want to start running test and if not go speak to an RE.
I was never on BC but I have heard of a lot of women that it takes their body a couple of months to level out your cycles back to normal. Chartting is a great way to pinpoint your ovulation date and you should keep an eye out on your CM (Cervical Mucus), this is an important key as well.
The girls on the getting Pregnant board are amazing and full of knowledge!
Justine, Im so sorry to hear about the cyst... When do you go back to the RE? Pls keep us posted.
If you every have any questions feel free to PM me.

I'm so sorry girly. DH and I aren't even trying yet and everytime I get the slightest tummy ache people automatically shriek, "OMG! Are you pregnant?!" I think to myself, these people know I eat like a horse, you'd think they'd first assume it was indigestion!
I hope everything works out for you guys. I don't really have any advice for you other than, relax. I have heard that sometimes women are so stressed out trying to get pregnant that it actually impedes them from doing so. HTH!
Im sorry to butt in but I just wanted to wish you luck.
Justine- Im so sorry. I remember you talking to me about some of your struggles at the ghetty but I didnt know how serious they were. Lots and lots of prayers your way and I hope you get your wish very soon! ::hugs::
chachita - I finish BCP on Saturday. I'm just waiting for AF so I can go back for another u/s. I don't have a good feling about it since I'm still in pain : But either way it has to be done so they can give me another BCP prescription. Knowing how counter productive this past month was and how the next month will be is beyond frustrating.
Jenny - Thanks, hun! I just try to remind myself it'll all be worth it in the end

Ugh, I hope when they do the u/s the cyst has either deteriorated or shrank. Is there anything else that they can do to remove the cyst, Laser? I feel your pain, I used to have 2 on one of my ovaries and when AF showed up the pain was real bad the only pill that would take away the pain was ibuprofen 850 (2 of them every 3-4 hours). And when we got KU I was worried about the cyst so when the doctor did the u/s they were gone. Thank God.
Pls keep us posted on your appointment!
