Please help a DC nestie out

I used to live in WI (I got married there) and about 3 years ago relocated to DC.  My DH and I want to move back to WI but he needs a job.  Right now he's a patent examiner with the government.  Is anyone a recruiter or headhunter???

I'm a recruiter in the DC area and work with companies primarily here in DC.  We have NOTHING in WI so I thought I'd check this board.

Help a nestie out!!  You can email me at:  m.mackowey@gmail.com  or you can always page me on the DC board.

 Thanks!!

Re: Please help a DC nestie out

  • Hey! My husband is a patent agent and works for a law firm. I saw your post and asked him if he had any advice I can forward to you. Since your husband is a patent examiner he could become a patent agent. A lot of law firms hire patent agents. They might waive your husband from taking the patent bar depends on how long he has worked as a patent examiner. My husband started out working for a law firm in Milwaukee but now we live in Chicago and he works for a different law firm. He enjoys his job very much. I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, just page me!
  • I emailed two of my friends that are recruiters and asked for their help. I'll let you know if I hear anything!
  • My husband is an attorney (not patent law though) and we relocated to WI last year from Philadelphia. He worked with someone in the Milwaukee officeof Major, Lindsay and Africa. She was really great. He ended up at a great firm in Madison, and had several offers to choose from (all as a result of her work).
