I know it has been asked before... but I need a hair stylist rec!
I love LOVE the lady I currently go to at K. Charles but last time I went it was almost $200 for a cut, partial highlight, and blow-dry... so I need to find someone cheaper.... I prefer salons like Folawns and K. Charles bc I really dig the no tipping policy. But I'll go anywhere.

It's so hard to find a good, affordable hair person! I doubt she's any cheaper than where you currently go, but I get my hair cut by Kate at Treat Hair Studio in Alamo Heights. I only get a haircut, so I'm not sure how much it is for highlights, etc., but for a haircut, style, and blowdry, it's been $65. And you do have to tip - boo! The fun thing about Treat though is that you also get a mini-facial and hand massage "free" as part of your service. They also always have yummy treats there too!

Hyoon (pronounced like 'Yawn') at K. Charles. She is really cute and sweet and does a good job. I get really basic haircuts but she always does a good job.
Holy crap...I would die if I had to pay $65 for a cut. I pay $35, with tip for cut, blow dry, and style.
?My boss has had her hair colored & cut at the Aveda Institute?and has always been really pleased with the results. The downfall is that you're not guaranteed a consistent stylist since they're students, and once they graduate they're gone.
?I've heard good things about D. Austin Salon at NW Military & Huebner.?
