First, what does this mean-Money Tree Available?
I got a wedding invitation in the mail today with that written on it. If it is what I think it is--a way of asking for money and you-hang-it-on-a-tree? Have you ladies heard of this?
Re: WDYT: Wedding Etiquette?
That's weird to me. It sounds like they are trying to be very polite in asking for money, which I just don't think anyone should do.
I mean, we had a card box out for people who just gave cards with money or gift cards. But we certainly didn't advertise it.
I don't like it. I'm not really an uptight person about etiquette at all (I actually like getting registry info. in invitations so that I don't have to hunt it down), but that seems obnoxious to me.
I've never personally seen it done but I think you have it right and I tend to agree with Skittle that they're trying to "politely" ask for money.
Speaking of wedding etiquette, my niece got married a couple weeks ago and on the message section of their Target registry they wrote "We like presents." D'oh! ::facepalm::
Oh My! LOL! That is great!
Yeah, I love her but there were a lot of things about that wedding that I gave the side-eye to.
IMO, I find those not only to be super tacky, but blatantly gift-grabby and rude.
Exactly my thoughts!!! It stems up there with the dollar dance....sorry if any of you had it but I think it's the same thing as the money tree.
I know right! I looked it up and they are uggg-leeee too!
