I had my wedding gown preserved and the company who did it is going to deliver the dress to me on Saturday. I totally forgot to ask if there is any type of a delivery fee -- there isn't as far as I'm aware. I said I could pick the dress up, but was told they are mainly a pick up/drop off service. Anyway, do you think I need to give them a tip? If so how much? Thanks for your help!

Hm yeah, in general, if I pick something up myself, I don't tip but if they delivery, I'd tip. Except for Safeway grocery delivery--where they specifically ask you NOT to tip...
I think anywhere from $3-$10 is reasonable, depending on how far they are, if there's a delivery fee already (generally, if it's complimentary, I'd tip more, if not, then I tip less), etc.
I went with Keepsake's to have my gown cleaned and preserved. I didn't tip her. I asked what the charges were for pick-up and delivery. I swear Gabriela told me that pick-up/delivery was included in the price, but, I just checked their website and it says pick-up and delivery is free. If that's the case, I think a tip would be a nice gesture.
She does pick-up and devliery all over the island. I think she had just come from La'ie when she came to my house in Mililani to pick up my gown!
If you think you got a good value on the preservation and they lady went out of her way to deliver, a cash tip is nice. However....
Maybe this is a local thing, but when we have stuff delivered/installed, we don't usually tip cash. We offer them cold drinks from our fridge in the garage -- while they're here and as they leave -- as a thank you.
Even in my business, most times when clients "tip" me, it's with food! Cash is rare, except during the holidays.
So, an alternative, is to tip to her with some cookies or baked goods.
(Side note -- The only case where we tip cash is for pizza delivery, because we know that's how the food delivery guys make their wages.)
