Swimsuits - where do you buy yours?

Hi ladies! I need to buy a good swimsuit, but i don't want to spend too much money.   In the past I've bought them at Old Navy, but they just don't seem to do much supporting in the boob area!!  Sometimes TJMaxx/Marshalls has a few good ones, but i haven't had much luck there. Any suggestions on where else to go? I was hoping to spend under $50 - thinking of gettting a tankini this year - i feel way too pudgy to be wearing a bikini this summer :-)

Re: Swimsuits - where do you buy yours?

  • I got mine at Fashion Bug...
  • Ralph Lauren has always been my first choice. Fit and style match me!  There is a store up at the Kittery Outlet.  That might be one place to try since there are a ton of stores!
  • I got mine last year at Wal-Mart, suprisingly, it's adorable too, it's a tankini, but it has shorts as the bottom, so it's very flattering.... I still wear it with a wrap or shorts and stuff, but it was suprising that I found such a cute suit at Wal-Mart
  • Target is the best if you want a 2-piece or a tankini as they have a ton of mix and match tops and bottoms so you can get different styles / sizes. They are cheap and I have had no problems with quality.
  • I got a really cute tankini at Target last summer.

  • JC Penny, St John's Bay (i think thats the maker)
  • I like J crew for swim suits

  • I'm a huge fan of Land's End (especially in recent years with their new styling), not sure of the price tag though.
  • i got a really nice michael kors one at marshalls but you def have to look there.  I was in walmart today and they actually have some nice ones.  The Lands End ones at Sears look really nice too but they are kinda pricey.  Around $60 for the top and about $30 for the bottom but i know they were on sale last week, 30% off.
  • Target, Kohls, Macys and Old Navy have been my go to places for bathing suits.
  • Land's End.   Last year I ordered a bunch (and I mean A LOT) of them online and returned the ones I didn't want to my local Sears.
  • My one-piece is a Ralph Lauren from the Kittery Outlet.

My two pieces (I have three) are from J Crew at the Kittery Outlet.

  • Thanks ladies!  Well, after a 3 hour shopping mission(macy's, gap, sears, tjmaxx, kohls) last night I actually found one at the Marshalls in Salem - they had a bunch!  It's a really cute tankini made by La Blanca -was only $19.99 and the tag on this thing has a sugg. retail of $94!  I guess marshalls/tjmaxx are just really hit or miss, and for once i hit!
