So my neighborhood is having it's 4th annual progressive Halloween party. Everyone dresses up and there is a costume contest. I'm needing help on ideas for our costume this year. My DH is 6'2" and bald and I am 5'3" and "chubby" (which can limit the possibilities... none of those sexy costumes work for me!).
The first year we did this he was Charlie Brown and since I was pregnant, I was "The Great Pumpkin". The next year we were Little Orphan Annie and Daddy Warbucks (we won the contest that year). Last year we were Michael Phelps (the swim cap covered his bald head perfectly) and his mother (we were 1st runner up in the contest). So... this year I was wanting to be Willy Wonka and an Oompa Loompa, since it is the only movie our 2 yr old DD wants to watch lately! I even thought she could be Violet and we could dress up to take her trick or treating. My DH HATES this idea. So now I am stuck on ideas. Any help would be appreciated!
Re: Couples Costumes for Halloween
Lucy and Ricky
Laurel and Hardy
Fish and fisherman
Ball and chain
Tweedle dee and tweedle dum
DANG, you guys are good at those costumes!
I've always loved the pregnant nun/ Father combo costume. With your daughter it could be pretty funny too.
Mario & Luigi
Popeye and Olive Oyl (roles reversed)
Fred & Wilma Flintstone
Bert & Ernie (Sesame Street)
Jim & PG Pam- The Office
Toga Couple
LIttle Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf
Gnomes

My sister did this...
Whole family from Robin Hood. Your husband could be Captain Hook or Peter Pan, you could go as Wendy or Tickerbell (complete with a big ballerina dress, ballet shoes and fairy dust etc); your daughter could go as either a lost boy or Wendy or the Dog (I think it's name was Nana?).
Anyways - have fun! Happy Halloween
I dressed in a nightgown, bathrobe, slippers, curlers, glasses, little make-up. And dh wore a suit & tie, carrying flowers and balloons and a HUGE check from Publishers Clearing House for $10million. I was the Grand Prize Winner. Oh, and dh also had a button that said "Prize Patrol".
We won for most original costume and it's super easy.
Peter pan & Tinkerbell
Flinstones
Cleopatra & Marc Antony
Greek god/goddess
Great idea... unique and kinda ironic because Ed McMahon died this year!
