Damn it! I hit a deer this morning!

On my way to work, I hit a deer on the highway at 4am!  My car is junk...well, fixable, but will be out of service for awhile.  I'm not hurt at all...but damn it...this is the 5th deer I've hit.

Oh that sucks. I'm so sorry! I must ask, do you live in the boon-docks? I can count on 1 hand the amt of deer i've seen on the road in my entire life - and you've actually hit 5? That's no fun - for you, or the deer

OMG, thank God your okay! Seriously, deer are like giant squirrels - I hit one at 45mph, it was one of the scariest things ever to happen to me - especially when you see the thing headed towards your windshield!

DH was saying that he saw two deer (one alive and walking, one dead) in Nashua in the morning on the way taking Jakob to school the other day.

I hit it on 89 N just past exit 14.  It was very dead after I hit it...it went under my car.  I think I've hit so many because of the time of day I go to work...no fun.

I'm glad you're alright. You should get some of those things you put on the front of your car that creates a high pitched noise that scares animals away. It used to work great for deer when I had them. I would notice deer on the side of the road and when I would go by them, they would hear the noise and turn around and run back into the woods.

you know what it is, its the headlights they are focusing on. What you should do is shut off your headlights and beep they will jump out of the way. I thought it was the most stupidest thing i have ever heard until it happned to me. I was driving home on 93 2 months ago i saw the deer in the middle of the road, i thought aww how cute until he jumped right in the middle of my lane. I just shut off my lights n beep as much as i could. Thankfully he manage to get the hell outta my way. I know 89 is awful but it is usually dead at 4 am too, So praying no more deers for you to hit :-( im so glad you are okay !!

DH says you should get a hunting tag and a cow catcher (on the front of trains)!!!   But seriously that sucks!!
