1st birthday location help

Hey Ladies, 

It feels like forever since I have last been over here, life is just crazy! Well, the months are closing in very quickly and soon it will be Lillian and Claire's first birthday. Since they have a sucky end of December birthday we have decided to have their party in the beginning of January. Our house is not large enough to hold a bunch of people for a winter gatherin so I am looking for suggestions on where in the LS area we can find a nice space. I looked up the Gamber Center and Legacy Park, but they only offer their spaces on Saturday for a full large event rental, I don't plan on going that big. Any other ideas where there might be a nice party room available. We are planning on serving lunch. Thanks!

I don't have any location ideas (unless you come out to Manhattan), but I can't believe that it has been almost a year already!

How about a restaurant - you could just rent out their party room?

Waldo Pizza was suggested for the party room which would work since it would help make food prep for me much easier. I would like some place that is clean enough those so I don't have to worry about my girls and other babies being on the floor to play.

What about renting a nice Apt. clubhouse and having it there.  Do you know anyone who is renting right now & could put it in their names if a place won't let you do it?  What about a hotel or convention room.  I know my good friend rented a room at a Holiday Inn for her baby shower and it turned out perfect!
