Hello
It sounds like you travel quite a bit for work as well- maybe even more then I do!
I'm wondering, how long have you been traveling? How are you handling that with being pregnant- food, schedule, and well stress/work wise?
Hubby and I will be TTC in the upcoming months, and this is my one big fear- how will it all work?
I've been doing it for about 5 years- and well, everytime I think I'm getitng used to it, I get a really rough trip that makes me hate traveling.
Thanks for your insight

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation last week! I've been traveling on this schedule for about 2 years.
It's been a rollercoaster since finding out. I just went to Costco to stock my briefcase with snacks. I don't generally have a hard time with food traveling (I have always made it a priority to stop for lunch, eat breakfast as I work better). Right now I'm trying to figure out how to eat foods that won't make me puke and are pregnancy approved. I used to eat a ton of sandwiches for lunch but lunch meat (unless it's heated) is a no-no in pregnancy so that's out. More often than not, I'm just finding a grocery store near where I'm working and picking things out that I can stomach. I've really had to up my water intake. I was drinking about 64-80 ounces normally, and I am constantly thirsty but I don't have the room for it.
As for timing, we got lucky. My trips lately have been shorter (an overnight or 3 days max). I was charting so I knew about when I was ovulating and could sort of do a little planning in my schedule. That said, if you try to chart while traveling and are changing time zones, it can be a little tricky so I do recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I honestly thought it would take us longer and when it happened I thought it was a joke.
As for stress, I'm fine work-wise. I'm more stressed about being pregnant (I've been spotting intermittently since I found out). As I mentioned before, I'm not afraid of not having access to medical care but I would prefer that if something happened it would happen while I'm at home where I am close to my doctor, my husband, etc. I am nervous about telling work later on, but we'll cross that bridge later.
In some ways, traveling now is nice. DH isn't freaking out that for breakfast all I ate was bacon and orange juice, lunch was a hamburger, and dinner was crackers. I don't feel bad about coming back to my hotel room and just laying in bed, I have no there that I need to see or be social with.
I'm definitely nervous about what will happen when I can't travel. I've grown accustomed to traveling and if I have too many days in my home office I get cabin fever. I would like to breast feed but we'll see how that works and if the projects I am working on could be local travel vs. out of state. My first doctor's appointment is on Tuesday and I have a list of questions a mile long about traveling I need to ask!
Thanks for sharing! I hope your Dr's apt goes well tomorrow!
I'm so glad to have someone else on the board who travels a ton for work regardless- it's such a dynamic situation, and totally nice to have someone who can relate!
Good luck, and I hope your pregnancy goes super easy and smooth!!
