VMA Awards....

Did anybody watch?

I didn't even realize it was on til I heard all the hype in the news this morning. Kanye's little outburst was completely out of line. Really....who does that kind of thing?!? So so rude and disrespectful to a fellow artist. Imagine if somebody had done that to him while he was accepting an award. She handled the situation well, although I am sure once she got off the stage the tears were flowing. That would have been pretty embarrassing.

I gotta say that Taylor's little act when she gets awards is a little annoying. Anytime I have ever seen her get an award she does that dramatic ::body moves in slow motion, big eyes, jaw on the floor, hand covers mouth looks at person sitting next to her::"OMG, I can't believe this OMG, how did they pick me, what, how, OMG, I cant believe it, I'm so shocked how did this, what OMG"

And what was the deal with LadyGaga? She is an odd one. Like her music though.

Re: VMA Awards....

  • 1.  Kanye = lowlife racist

    2.  Beyonce = class act

    3.  Lady Gaga = trying oh-so-hard to be super weird for the sake of being super weird

  • I agree with everything said.

  • I like Kanye as an artist  not a person, but after that whole stint at the VMA's which we watched live--I am ready to delete his music from my computer! Totally rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for! I like have Jay Leno called him out and asked him what his mother would have said to him if she were still alive, and then of course he got very quiet like he was going to cry! Obviously, you should think about your actions before you do something like that--way to tarnish your reputation even more!

As for Taylor--I honestly don't think it's an act. I have a friend who has met her while visiting Nashville, and they said she was as sweet as pie---100% genuine... she's only 17!

I'm glad Beyonce was classy and let Taylor do her acceptance speech when she won.... it helps her reputation and dis-associates her name with the negative connotation of Kanye's!

And yes... Lady Gaga has good music but is way LOCO!

Taylor will be 20 at the end of this year. I have heard quite the opposite from a friend who has met her.

Beyonce is a class act, I would not have expected anything less from her. She has always been a favorite of mine. Too bad "Single Ladies" didn't come out about 5 years ago...lol. I love that song but I feel like a jackbag jamming out to it being married and all. I do have that as my ringtone for all my single girlfriends.

I really hope this will sabotage Kanye's career, just like Chris Brown beating up his girlfriend. People who do those kids of things do NOT deserve the fame and fortune they are receiving. We certainly don't want our younger generations thinking those people are cool.

That's funny that you talk about feeling bad for jamming to Single Ladies. My husband loves the song. He turns it up and dances when he hears it. So, you shouldn't feel bad one bit. Great music is just that - sometimes the lyrics work for our situations and sometimes they don't. Big Smile

As for Taylor Swift - I am kind of on the fence. She seems very sweet but I sense it is a bit of a show. I think she is sincere but then plays it off a little too much.  But she certainly did not deserve that disrespect.

I saw in a headline yesterday, "Kanye Stepped on a Kitten". Too funny.

Lol, I am not even sure what it is. Guys I work with say it all the time. I would imagine it is a combo of a jackasssss and a douchbag. Perhaps the pc version of the 2 combined!Smile I like it!

Awe... I wish that song would have been out for my wedding! That's so perfect! I wonder if Beyonce ever thought about her hit being played at  millions of weddings for the bouquet toss,... probably not!

Deb--I guess I didn't realize she's gonna be 20... I still love her, even with all the mixed emotions! I agree I hope it sabotages his career!
