So I am in the middle of devouring my leftover Five Cheese Ziti from Olive Garden (where we ate dinner last night)...and thinking about how amazing it is...and I'm down to oh the last maybe 3-4 bites and see a black hair that's a couple of inches long.
Not only did I eat half of this last night, I proceed to eat the rest today and am almost at the end when I discover the hair. To top it off, I stir the stuff when it gets to the table, and stirred it multiple times when heating it, so I'm sure the hair touched the majority of noodles I ate. VOM
I realize that we probably eat a lot of hairs that we don't know about...but it really is nasty to know about it and see it.
Re: Soooo NOT Awesome...
Ew gross!
Last year I had a problem for a month where there was a hair in my food EVERY day. Not just at restaurants. There were hairs in cans of food I got from the supermarket. Beyond nasty.

At least you know it wasn't a pubic hair.
Once Aaron and I were at a local chain in FL an we got salads. We were eating them (a few bites) and then he decided to toss his a little. There was a complete rubber glove in his. So gross. He called the waitress over and said he wanted to talk to the manager. he just wanted to let them quietly know that we would be leaving and not paying for our meal (he didn't want to make a scene). The manager had the nerve to give us a hard time and tried to explain the glove, and said that we could get new plates of food. We left.
Ditto. My hair falls out all the time, even when I cook. i have to get over it.
This doesnt really bother me either, I can move on. However, at a restaurant, I'm pretty much done at that point. Grosses me out completely - whether its in my food or somebody elses. DH doesnt understand it either - he just picks it out and continues.
