Ideas for a girls' weekend in StL

I live here but a friend of mine might be driving down for the night in July for a little girl bonding time.

What would you do if you were hanging with the girls, no men?  With a baby, it's been ages since I've been out.  I'm thinking of getting our nails done, then we'll either stay at a hotel downtown for the night, or in the interest of saving money DH has offered to drop us off somewhere for dinner and we get a cab home after going out.

Ideas?  Thanks.

Re: Ideas for a girls' weekend in StL

  • You could always check out some hotels (ie Chase Park, Millinium, Adams Mark, etc) to see if they offer any girls night out packages that include some kind of spa treatment. Here is the link for what the Chase offers (http://reservations.ihotelier.com/crs/p_prod.cfm?HotelID=4748&ProdID=4152&killcookie=1&LanguageID=1) If you stay downtown there are wonderful resturants there you can eat at then catch a cab back to a hotel.

I think that would be my choice.

  • Go! Spa is supposed to be great for group events for the girls. But it's WAY out in west county.

I'd also throw in a trip to Bailey's Chocolate Bar (in Lafayette square).  Other than that, some booze and food in your hotel suite would probably be fun.

  • I would definitely do something at a spa, a dinner at a mexican place w/ margaritas and then a movie...enjoy your time out this once...you may not get it for a while...if ya want to save $, go to the movie at a rush hour time and then do appetizers and drinks afterwards instead of a whole dinner.  Have fun!
