Hey Christine, aren't you a neonatal nurse or something like that? I thought of you at the hospital when I kept meeting nurse after nurse in the maternity and post partum wings... Especially when I met one who was 22 weeks along and showing her little belly thorugh her scrubbs! They were all sooo friendly and nice and helpful. What a GREAT job that must be!!!
Also, how is the pregnancy going? I bet you look adorable with your bump!

Yes, I'm a NICU nurse. I'm glad they treated you well! It's a hard job and honestly, there are days when I wonder why I did it. But the babies are so cute and they're not what makes it bad.
Being a NICU nurse kind of makes pregnancy hard because you know all of the things that can go wrong because we see all the babies that have problems! But I know that it's only something like 1% of babies that require NICU care. And I work at a hospital where a majority of our population is immigrants with no insurance and no prenatal care. So I need to remember that, too.
My pregnancy is going well. Luckily! And thanks for asking.
So far, the zits have been the worst part. Haha. My bump is starting to grow - but still not showing when I'm in scrubs yet! There are 5 other pregnant nurses in our unit and I'm the only one not showing yet! (But, to be fair, the rest are all on at least #2 and all but one are further along than I am.)
Thanks for updating us on Alexa. I love the name! (Pretty sure that got my vote when you polled us.) Can't wait to see more pics!
