I spent a lot of time on the knot before getting married (and after) and now I'm on the nest but I'm not as involved as I was on the knot. 

So did you knot before you nested? And which do you like better?

I was on the knot ALOT before I got married, and for maybe a year after I got married..I finally moved over to the Nest, and now i'm here. I like the nest, and like you I like the nest better...

 

Although, we used to do GTG with the knot...and we started to with the nest folks, but haven't done one in awhile.... i'm totally up for one this summer...anyone else? Maybe a winery trip?...or ... game night at someone's house....or maybe just a girls night at a restaurant, or maybe girls night out at like the big bang or one of those types of places...whatcha y'll think?

I'm not sure which I like better.  Both boards have a great group of girls.  Some move on to the nest and some don't.  But since I'm here, I love this. 

And I'm totally up for another g2g.  We haven't done those in awhile.  I'm up for the winery, game night, Cardinals game, or whatever.

I was on the Knot before (futurewasem was the name). I like it here, but it is really slow.

I was as well.  I was a knottie back in the day when the local board was hopping all the time.  I miss that.  I'd be up for a GTG for sure.  We used to do a monthly book club get together, but even that has stopped too.  We're a bunch of old married hags

I was a knottie before I was a nestie as well.  I like this board although some days I wish we were more hopping.  There were times on the knot that you refreshed and you had a ton of new posts.  Here we are lucky if we get 1 or 2 a day.  I would be up for a GNO's, especially since we have had some newbies join in lately!

Yes, I was a knottie before I was a nestie. I became a knottie about 6 1/2 years ago (I have been married almost 5 years). I love the knot boards back then, they were very busy and had a great group of girls. I haven't been over there recently, so I'm not sure how it is now, but the last time I was there, it was a little slow and there seemed to be a lot of drama. I love the nest though as well and have been over here for several years.

Yep, I was a knottie before a nestie.  Both were fine, but there was more action on the knot.

I was a knottie and I still sometimes check out the Honeymoon board. I prefer the Nest now because I don't care about weddings anymore!

Of course.  I loved every second of  wedding planning and remained a year later to give advice to pay back all of the advice I received (also just because it was hard to give up).  The nest is fine, but this board is so SLOW.  I miss all of the posts on the stl knot.  Why can't the stl nest be that way.

I was a big time knottie before I came the nest. I still use the nest, but now there are a lot more resources I visit online about babies and parenting. This site is addictive, though! There is always something fun to read! I like the nest better.

i was a knottie as well. i think i joined in 2001. i loved it at the time, but it had it's time and use and it has passed. i do like it here, but i usually go to the parenting board. it is so busy threre. and you can ask any question and get a quick answer.

Yes & loved it.  I do like the nest a lot as well -- I'm mostly on What's Cooking these days.

I wasn't on the Knot very much. Mostly b/c it was nearly 7 years ago and they were not as "functioning" as they are now. I think there might have been maybe a handful of forums and that was it.

Stlhrnmd turned me onto the Nest and I've been hooked ever since.

YES, I was a "The Dress forum" addict. I think my planning bio is still up. Then I migrated to the YH board where I also posted a lot. Ever since the troll went after Mrs.KEW and stole her identity, and everyone starting deleting their bios (including me) I am more cautious about what I post now.

Yep, I was on the DW board & still keep in touch with some of those girls. I like the nest better though b/c the knot is mostly about weddings. I got bored with that before I even got married, lol.
