1st anniversary gifts

Did you and your DH exchange gifts on your 1st anniversary?  If so what did you get him and what did he get you?

We did. Mike made me a scrapbook and gave me a gift certificate to Papyrus.  I wrote down a bunch of memories of our first year, each on it's own piece of paper and put into a container, and then I got him a gift certificate for a man-massage.  We went with the whole "paper" theme.

We didn't exchange gifts.  My parents got us a beautiful pressed flower arrangement on rice paper (framed, description doesn't do it justice).  1st anniversary is traditionally paper.

Well, my husband did not stick to the "paper" very well, but im not complaining, I got a new PINK laptop.. YAY! I got him a gift card to play alot of golf, and then a $100 GC to a Golf Store that he likes to shop at.

We didn't do anything for it but give each other a card. Hey that's paper! We're just trying to save money for a house. Besides, the next week was my birthday and DH got me an iPod.

We have been doing the traditional gifts every year. Its kinda fun for us. Our first year was paper, so we got eachother cards and we went on a trip to Disneywold!!

We didn't exchange gifts, but we happened to pick up our wedding album right on our 1st anniversary so that was sort of a gift.  And photos are printed on paper so it totally worked.  LOL!

I got STBX a 1-year lottery subscription.

We also did paper, got each other tickets to see Faith Hill & Tim McGraw.  They were our first dance song, so it was fitting.
