We are taking atrip to Corpus next month and we have never been before. Does anyone know of any nice places to stay? Would prefer by the beach, but doesn't have to be. TIA
Re: Places to stay in Corpus
I went to Corpus a few weeks ago. We stayed at Comfort Suites on Padre Island. It was literally across the street from the beach. We walked. Corpus is about a 15 min. drive. But we liked the Island because it was away from the city and quite. There is a Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort that is on the beach. They had a nice pool and a little bar. This is also on the Island.
I haven't been in years!!! But, I would say unless you HAVE to stay in Corpus, you'd probably enjoy Port Aransas/Padre Island more. (It's about the same distance.) I've never really heard anyone rave about CC for a beach vaca. I don't have any recs though... Port Royal used to be THE place to stay... I don't know if it still is or not.?http://www.port-royal.com/
?Check trip advisor!?

Ditto on what Lauren said.
Speaking of Corpus, DH said he was thinking of considering it as a place to look for a practice to join b/c they seem to be in need of cardiologists and may offer a good deal. Anyone hear about what it is like to live there? We were thinking of taking a weekend trip down in Aug. just to check it out.
