Vent re: Girlfriends

My girlfriends and I decided about a month and half ago to go to Tony and Tina's Wedding (for those that don't know, it's a mock wedding where everything and anything could go wrong, and it's supposed to be pretty funny).   So I mailed my check to a friend who was ordering tickets, right around the beginning of August.

I get an e-mail today from the girl who was supposed to order the tickets, saying "we" decided not to go to Tony and Tina's Wedding; "We" thought it would be more fun with more people.  I mailed your check back last Saturday.

So, I have been looking forward to this for how long?  I went out and bought a new dress, and new shoes.  And who is "we", how come nobody asked me?  I was really looking forward to this, as I haven't been going out much due to $$ issues.

I don't know why I am letting this get to me.  I need new friends. Super Angry

  • What a bummer. If I were you I would check with the other girls that were going to go and see if anyone else wants to.  Who cares if it ends up just being a few of you...sometimes smaller groups are a lot more fun.  Maybe you can convice Mr. Philly to go with and make a date out of it.

  • That sucks. I agree with mofe. You need to use your new outfit somehow -- so if you can't go to the show, make a snazzy date with the Mr.

  • Are the new shoes pointy? Because I think a cuuntkick is in order, and, hell, what a way to break in new heels haha
I'm friends with everybody in this office. We're all best friends - I love everybody here. But sometimes your best friends start coming into work late, and start having dentist appointments that aren't dentist appointments. And that's when it is nice to let them know that you can beat them up.
