That is so awesome!
Our furlough days were days that were originally scheduled as non-student staff development days. So the kids had the day off anyway, they just cut our meetings.

have you tried a neti pot?
I'm sorry that they're doing that. We had 14 weeks of furlough over the summer and the missing day of pay really added up after a while.

Thanks ssinca. I have never tried a neti pot but if I'm still feeling like this in a few days I might be ready to try whatever might work.
It does suck. We need those staff development days.
It ends up at a 2% paycut. I could be a lot worse, they just can't cut any more days once the calendar is made.

if you can get your hands on some allegra and nasonex (or another prescription nose spray, do not use OTC) it will help.
Gross. That's terrible.
Ours would probably be that much if the state didn't mandate how many hours the kids need to be in school.
