FI birthday help/ Romantic Hotel Stay ideas
Since we have a young child we do not get alot of romantic evenings alone. So for his birthday I want to get a room at one of the fun hotels in town. I have been thinking of these three: The Valley Ho, The Indigo, or Hotel San Carlos. Please give me your opinions on stays that you have had at these hotels or any recommendations for other hotels. Thanks!
Re: FI birthday help/ Romantic Hotel Stay ideas
Ive styaed at the Hotel San Carlos. It is fun but not fancy at all. Also if you believe in ghosts this place is EXTREMLY haunted!!! Like seriously I experienced things I never have before.
What about the Arizona Grand Resort? It has all those water slides!
Really? If you don't mind sharing, what did you experience?
To OP, sorry, I haven't stayed in any of those places. But I've heard the Arizona Grand is nice!
Julie...all kinds of crazyness...too much to type but some of the high lights
The hotel was very dead....like 15 rooms in the whole place were booked...so pretty empty.
Went with a BF at the time.
Since it was soooo dead we talked a security gaurd into giving us a tour of the most haunted areas and slipped him a $20.
He took us to one room, we go in and see nothing. We walk out and all of asudden the alarm clock starts blairing! So bf goes in to turn off the alarm but its already in the off position. Walks out, does it again.....Goes back in, still in the off position. Aparently someone died in there.
Then the gaurd took us to a wing that was closed off, like wasnt even renovated for hotel use, where an apartment was...lots of random cold spots in an otherwise very hot room.
Same with the rooftop suite that is closed off to the public. Where a lady jumped from the roof and killed herself.
He also took us down in the boiler room. we heard foot steps even though all of us were standing still and the only ones down there.
They say the hotel is built over very haunted grounds. The land was once an indian barial area THEN a school house was built ontop of it which burned to the ground with the children inside... The foot steps we heard sounded like small feet or someone little was making them.
OP- I really like the Royal Palm on Camelback.
Kirstin-I worked out of that hotel once on a production job and it was totally creepy! Didn't get to experience anything like you but there was definitely something different about that place!
