Best places to buy shrubs/flowers???

Hi ladies--

We are starting to work on our yard, and I am looking to find nursery's around CFL that sell very inexpensive plants I.e., shrubs, bushes, flowers, etc....

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Best places to buy shrubs/flowers???

  • I have heard that Lucas Nursery in Oviedo is really good for that kind of stuff. ?Never used them myself but we are getting ready to.
  • Lukas Nursery in Oviedo is awesome. It is acres of everything you can imagine. And the prices are very reasonable too. Alot cheaper than the home improvement stores. The staff is very knowledgeable. I have gone there with leaves from my trees to find out what to do to fix anything that is wrong.

With all of the options there, I am a kid in a candy store.

  • Yep! My DH is in the plant care industry, and he is in love with Lukas Nursery. It's so nice there :)

  • You might not want to shop at the home improvment stores, but Lowe's does guarantee plants/shrubs/flowers etc. for a year - they die, you get your money back. You just have to keep your receipt. Something to think about when investing a lot of $$$ into landscaping.

  • Not sure about exactly what they have, but I believe the Russell Home thrift store on Michigan St. sells plants as a fundraiser for the home. It's a great cause, so if they have what you need, it might be an option.
  • Thanks ladies for the recommendations! My husband and I were both sick with sinus infections this weekend, so we got ZERO done in the yard this weekend, but hope to venture out to Lukas sometime this week!
