Neighborhoods to look at

Hi, My H and I will most likely, he has a non-official job offer, be moving to SA in the next couple of months. His job will be in the southern part of the city but his future boss is suggesting Universal City or Schertz, right now I am probably looking at jobs about the UT Medical School. Any suggestions on where we might look for houses?

I live in Universal City (Olympia Hills Neighborhood) and LOOOOVE IT!!  The neighborhood was rated in the top for SA nieghborhoods.  We actually have trees!!  It is right off of 1-35 and has easy access to malls, shopping center, etc.  It may be drive into the medical center though.  It depends on what kind of commute your are used to!  GOOD LUCK with house hunting!

Thank you, Mrs. B. I am used to 45 min each way in LA so I have to think anything short of NYC will be a bit easier.

I live in Schertz which is just north of where MrsB lives and really like it as well. Like she said, as long as the commute doesn't bother you, you'd be really happy in this area. FYI: Schertz, Cibolo, Universal City, Selma, Live Oak & Garden Ridge are all small towns that are right in/around San Antonio near Randolph.

If you live out in Schertz, you'll have a long drive if you get a job at UTSAHSC.  We live over by the medical center.  Stone Oak is probably in the middle.....
