My friends MIL just died...very young and they don't know why? I really want to make her something so that she doesn't have to cook tomorrow night. Any suggestions? Maybe something that freezes well.

Okay...I know this isn't a funny situation, but I find it humorous that everyone responded with lasagna.
That's what I would say as well.
When my father passed away, the neighbors brought a ton of stuff (they took turns with every meal). It was so nice to have that one thing not to worry about during the rough time.
I think anything would be very nice to take. One dish meals are really easy for both you to make and them to freeze/reheat at a later time though.
