Comcast vs. Fairpoint

Does anyone have Comcast interet? I know Comcast is more $$, but other than Fairpoint (who I am about to go ballistic on for effing up  my bill-again) it is my only other option. Is Comcast any good? I have never ever had problems with their Customer Service for my cable. Any opinions? Thanks

I hate comcast. I'm waiting for Fairpoint to change over to Verizon so I can get their cable tv service and dump comcast. When Comcast came to the the install they were here for 11 hours (no kidding) and I still had to go to the local office to replace the cable box because it was bad. My understanding is that they outsource all installations, but do repairs. And my internet goes out randomly and when I call they say there is no outage, but when the tech comes out a couple of days later they say they had scheduled outages to update lines but they never tell customers that.

I thought that Fairpoint bought Verizon...am I wrong?

Fairpoint did buy Verizon.And since they switched over they strarted to suck. I have been annoyed with them from  the start. Now they keep telling me I owe for two months. Umm.. No. I have never once missed a payment.

We have Comcast for everything, internet, cable with dvr and phone. We haven't had any real big problems with them. They are a bit pricey, but it's not worth changing, since we would have to change to Fairpoint where we are. I haven't heard anything good about Fairpoint. GL.
