weekends without DH stink

I hate that my DH has a job that requires him to work both weekend days.  We were invitied to a friend's daughter's 2 year old birthday party.  And b/c DH was working he couldn't come and I had to go alone with Kaelyn.  It was a pool party and a lot of the other mom's and dad's were in the pool with their kids, but b/c I was alone, I didn't feel comfortable getting Kaelyn and myself all changed and into the pool without the help of my DH.....4 hands are so much better than 2.  I am sure someone would have helped me, but I so wished my DH was with us.  I hate that he is never able to come to these types of things with us because of work...and I have to go alone.  Next weekend I have to go to a Baptism down in CT, and once again DH can't come, so my mom is going to come with me, b/c there is no way I am driving 3 hrs by myself with a 3 month old in the back seat.  Ok enough complaing.....sorry girls, I am just so frustrated with his work schedule.

I totally know how you feel!! Now that I've started back to work, I will not have any full days off with Bill.  We will be swapping days to take care of Mason.  So when he is at work I will be home alone....I guess I better get used to it!!

I know how you feel - Tom often has to work until 10pm (like when Austin was first born) and sometimes works weekend days too....it's really hard...

I completely feel for you!  This year is the first in years that my husband and I have had days off together and I love it so much.  I can only imagine how feelings of hating never having days off together would multiply once a baby is involved!  I dread it changing next year
