Baby Shower Location-Madison

Hi All,

I will be hosting a baby shower for a co-worker early this fall.  Though I could host at my home, I am thinking the number of attendees could be quite high (we are teachers.)  Does anyone have any suggestions for decent (relatively inexpensive) private party rooms?  I'd like something with a little more character than a typical hotel conference room.

 Thanks for any ideas!

Katie

Re: Baby Shower Location-Madison

  • In early fall, you still might have nice weather to do outside at a park (maybe w/ a pavillion in case of bad weather).  I'm a teacher, too, and we've had work showers at restaurants (in big party rooms) and everyone just pays for their own meal and chips in for a gift.

  • We rent the Warner Park community center party room. I believe it is $125 or $150 and you bring in your own food and drinks. It is a 4 hour rental. The room has beautiful floor to ceiling windows and overlooks a pond.

I've attended baby showers at the Bourbon Street Grill (private room) and they do a great job of set up and make all the food. I can't remember the pricing. Sorry.
