Newbie with introduction!
Hi everyone,
I am new to the board and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Nicole I am 24 and got married in October. Dh is a police officer and I am a teacher. We have no children yet, thinking of TTC next year, but we do have a 3 year old black lab who is like a child to us! We live in northern MA but i grew up and went to college in NH. I look forward to getting to know you!

My wedding story is rather unordinary. My husband and I have been together for a little over 7 years. We saved money for a a while and when we had a good amount in savings we were left with a decision, buy a home or have a big wedding. We chose to buy a home first. When we applied for the VA loan (DH was a Marine) we found outh that we had to be married inorder for them to consider both of our incomes. So we said why not, we have been together 7 years and we didn't need a big wedding. We got married at my moms house in Atkinson with a JP on perfect fall day and it was my grandparents anniversary. We decied that when we had more money and the house was settled we would have a destination wedding. So we are going to Jamaica next moth for a destination wedding. I always dreamed of a fall wedding or getting married on a beach and we will be doing both! I thought I would regret having a small wedding but I don't, I wouldn't change a thing because it was so small and personal. Its one the best days that I remember with my younger brother who died in December. So overall, our wedding wasn't what most people picture but its a special day to me with lots of memories of the people I love the most.

Oh goodie, a new teacher I can bug about jobs!! Hahaha- welcome!! I am a teacher too, at least until the end of the school year. I teach third grade.

Welcome! Congrats on your marriage! I am a teacher as well, and am finishing up my grad work at Riv. The ladies on the board here are wonderful!
Oh, and DH and I have a 4 yr. ld black lab, such a princess...she is our child as well! :-)
