They both knew what they were getting into.  Granted, she may not have liked the dogs from the start, but Jon didn't exactly seem ga-ga to have sextuplets, but he isn't shipping them off now that he has to take care of them on his own sometimes.

That's just awful! But the dogs are probably much better at a home without the kids & Kate treating them the way they did.

I read about this yesterday and the picture of the dogs in the crate broke my heart, absolutely broke it.  I am also angry at them for being so irresponsible and giving up on their dogs.  I feel so bad for those poor doggies, I hope they find good homes very soon.

As a GSD owner, I can vouch for the fact that they are AMAZING family dogs.  Every time people are around, parents are IN AWE of how patient Xena is with their kids.  And while I understand that you need to teach kids some respect of animals (proper treatment), they're kids, you know?  You have one or two kids and you know that the dog's fur is going to get yanked, someone's going to fall on him/her, etc, so the "they mistreated them" was a bit blown up, IMO.  Then again, I didn't watch it a ton.

And yes, Jen, I'm sure they'll make it to great homes shortly.  Maybe I'm as pissed off because I liked seeing the dogs when I watched the show. LOL

I knew that was only a matter of time. I hate people that think they can just get pets and get rid of them as they please. They are a freaking life-time  commitment. They used to have two cats before the had their kids that they got rid of those too.

I hate that they were taken away but in the end, they are going to be much better off. 

We teach David to be gentle with our dog and when he isn't we let him know it isn't nice.  She has growled at him a few times and he backs away. I know she shouldn't be doing that but in the end she is saying boy you've reached your boundries back off, and he does.  Then he goes and gets her a toy and they play together.

I don't think it's a bad thing.  It's teaching him boundaries and that crossing boundaries have consequences. LOL

I saw this yesterday.  Honestly, I think that it didn't bother me as much because i knew they would end up at a MUCH better home (I even thought "I wonder if we could get them..." at one point then decided that would be crazy since we have TWO already).

This does piss me off.  Yes they will probably be better off in the long run but I am sure they love those kids and that house is what they've known since they were pups.  It irritates me that people can just discard their pets like they mena nothing.  I also didn't realize they had cats that they gave away already.  They shouldn't be allowed anymore pets.
