I'm slowly trying to start making the transition from jarred jalapenos to fresh, but I am scared of the whole seeding and all. I've seen you can use rubber gloves to cut up the fresh peppers for safety... but where exactly does one get disposable rubber gloves? LOL
Re: Odd Question
Should be able to get some in the cleaning aisle of a grocery store, walmart, hardware store, drug store. They are easy to find.
I use fresh jalepenos all the time and dont use gloves. Just wash your hands real well when done.
I just realized you were saying jalapenos in a jar. I thought the first time I read this it said "Jared Jalapenos" like a brand name.
I have nothing more to add. I've never used gloves when cutting fresh jalapenos....
Girlfriend, just wash your hands. You'll be fine!
I'm bringing you out here to help me freeze roasted green chile next year. We did 40 lbs this year...my sister still insists on wearing gloves even though we've been doing it for years and no one's ever had a problem w/it.
