WWYD? Bday gift
MH offered me a choice of two things I have been wanting for my bday gift.
#1 - new boots
I actually wanted a pair of riding boots, but I got those knockoff Frye boots at Target, so I don't need those AND riding boots. What I really need is a classy pair of plain black knee-high boots that I can wear with skirts and dresses to work. These would get a lot of use.
#2 - black leather motorcycle jacket
I have been COVETING this black leather motorcycle jacket. I want it so bad. I try it on every time I go in the store, and it fits like a glove. MH thinks it is a novelty item and that I won't wear it very often. There is a possibility that this is true, but I don't know. I just love it, it is so much fun.
So, WWYD? Semi-boring boots that you would probably get a lot of use out of? Or fun jacket that you might not get a lot of use out of?

Girrrrrrl, I'm not from MI, I'm from here. When it's 50 degrees outside I am wearing every article of clothing in my closet and freezing my ass off.
You know what, now that I think more about it, I think you should go with the jacket. It does get a little chilly in the evenings starting late fall, so you'll get a good couple of months of wear out of it before you have to retire it for the spring/summer. And I've seen some super cute motorcycle style jackets lately in magazines. It wouldn't go on me bc I am not that fashionable but you could totally rock it.
You can always get boring boots anytime.
Touche...actually, just have him buy whatever is the more expensive of the two!
