So I noticed that a lot of girls that post here are teachers. So how's the first couple weeks of school going? Crazy stories anyone? We need to get this board talking
I've finally learned how to correctly pronounce all of my students names.
I've already had to change all the emergency contact info on one kid cause her dad got arrested.
A student didn't pay for his lunch for a couple of days and had to get peanut butter. His mom told him she'd transfer him if he got peanut butter again.
A student ran up to us crying on the playground because someone hit him. We asked who hit him. He said "the black boy hit me." Um, honey, they're all black. Please be a bit more specific."
And go....
Re: Teachy teachers
One kid choked another kid while his mom was still there from dropping him off....it was OBVIOUS that he did it...I went in room to find out what the kid said/did to warrant the choking and the mom hugged the choker and told him she knew he didn't do it
One was already out with strep throat for two days...
I think I have a self contained adhd classroom and they all forgot thier medication!!
I have two girls with the same name I also have two boys with the same name...I have another girl with a name very similar to the two with the same name....I have two boys with similar first names and the same last name spelt differently ahhhh
wow? you teachers are crazy people; I don't know how you do it
Alls I knows is (yes I did that on purpose) my DD keeps me running from sun-up to sun-down thanks to starting kindergarten, swim, soccer, and Girl Scouts. I'm hoping she'll pick one that she loves best? and yeah I was insane for signing her up for soccer and swim at the same time; but she comes home with soooo much energy and mommy? not so much.
I'm also secretly hoping that these extra-curricular activities will help her to better develop her listening skills, the value of teamwork, and make some lifelong friendships? sigh?
