Grove City??

Anyone live in Grove City?? DH and I currently live in Powell, but have been searching around trying to find an easier commute for him (to downtown). We found a really cute area (Pinnacle) but I just don't really know anything about living over there and Ive gotten mixed opinions from people when we tell them we are considering it.

Any advice?!

Re: Grove City??

  • We live in GC, moved here in Oct. 2006. It's growing, and we can see new developement already, and things are improving (landscaping, traffic patterns). Stringtown Rd has about 40 places to eat, more places to shop, grocery stores and banks. GC has easy access to 71 via Stringtown Road or Jackson Pike...or SR 665.

We love it here and moved here knowing we would raise our family here (no kids yet!). We have no complaints and only have good things to say about it. Family loves to visit us, it's kinda like something out of Pleasentville (that movie with Reese Witherspoon and What'shisname) but we're not hokey or weird, just good neighborly friendly folks who love where we live.

    Good Luck!

I've seen some houses for sale near the 665 end of Buckeye Parkway too.?

  • I live in Grove City. We moved here (Pinnacle) from Dublin about 2 years ago and love it. Grove City is a great area. It's 10 minutes from downtown. There is so much here now...Target, Pier 1, Bed Bath and Beyond and its still growing. Let me know if you have any other questions about the community.

  • We moved to Grove City too about 2 years ago (sadly we have to leave soon due to job relocation). But we love it here. We live right by Pinnacle as well. It only takes DH 10 minutes to get to his office downtown and all of the new shops popping up around here have everything we need. We both feel like GC is one of the best kept secrets because of it's close proximity to downtown.

We live in Urbancrest which is just outside of Grove City and we love it.  It's our best (and safest area yet).  We've lived in Canal Winchester, Reynoldsburg, Hilltop, and Groveport.  Also we both work 9-5 and rush hour is not too bad at all.  It gets a little backed up on the ramp off the exit but nothing like the east side.
  • We just bought a new home in Grove City @ Pinnacle in April 2008 AND LOVE IT. Both of us are from here, as well as both in-laws and extended families.

We think its a great place to live & raise a family!
