Anyone else with this problem? (rant)
I have a Samsung Instinct and I don't like it. It freezes up all the time or runs slow. Yesterday it told me there was no battery in it. Sprint will order me another phone (of the same kind), but I have to wait until February for my upgrade (for brand new phone). BTW I am on phone #3 since February of this year.
Re: Anyone else with this problem? (rant)
Restarting your phone definitely helps. Also, try taking your battery out for 30 seconds, then putting it back in and see what works.
However, if you run your battery down a lot (or didnt charge it fully when you first got it), you may have ruined your battery.
Failing to charge your battery when you first get it doesn't hurt the battery now that most phones use Lithium Ion batteries. Back when phones had Nickel Cadmium batteries it was definitely an issue, but not any more.
I would probably just buy a new battery and wait it out until February. You might also try a new charger. My DH had a standard wall charger go out on him, but his car charger still worked.
"It's a child, not a cheeto" Thanks mmariluh!
"Ew. I've read all of two posts from you, and you stink like rotting garbage."
My MIL has an Instinct and she hates it, largely because she's a technophobe and butt dials us ALL. the. time. when it's on.
She got it because she has arthritis in her hands and she doesn't have to actually press anything.
have you tried calling their customer service dept and asking if you can exchange for a similar model?
I had that same issue with a Motorola Razr. Well not that same issue - but I was on my fourth!! phone in 4 months, and they just swapped it out with an En-V. Esp since it was obvious there was a problem with that type of phone.
I had to call customer service and complain like there was no tomorrow though.
