This probably makes me a huge dork (more so than I already knew), but I finally created an account on Mint.com, and I can't stop playing around with it. I've heard recs for it from the Money Matters board forever. It links up to your bank accounts and shows you in multiple graph forms where your money goes based on category and merchant. It also sends you reminders if you are paying over what you budgeted for that category. For instance, it emailed me that I paid $8 over what I budgeted for electric this month. 

It KNOWS EVERYTHING.

Anyone else using it?

I haven't tried it before, but I think I might now! It sounds like a good idea. I know we try to not to spend a lot of money, but this website sounds like it would be a lot easier to really keep track of our spending.

I started to sign up before, but I was kind of skeptic. If you and the MM board say that is reliable, then I might try it out.

I just started at the beginning of this month.  I want to be serious and live in a budget.  I'm not totally sure how it works, though.  For example, my gym membership is directly drawn from my credit card, so I added the money set aside for "gym" to the money I wanted to pay to "credit card," which of course means I overspent on "credit card" payment.  I'm not sure it's going to be able to figure that out.  We'll have to see.

I used it for a long time, but I haven't gone in and changed my account info after the last time my bank account was defrauded, so it's been telling me how much in debt I am lately despite spending any money.

We've both had accounts here for a year or so, but within the past month or so combined everything onto one account.  DH is a financial and computer guy, and he says that it is totally safe.  It is really helpful to see where your money goes.

We started using it a few months before the wedding but things got busy and I havent updated the categories in a while so they aren't classified correctly right now.  It is a very cool tool for budgeting and figuring out where you spend money.  Its really useful when you first start budgeting.

I've been using it since the beginning of the year when we combined accounts and I LOVE it! Its so nice seeing all our bank, credit card, investment accounts, student loans, etc. in one place. I also work in finance and am a MM regular, and I can't recommend mint.com highly enough!

Glad they worked out for you - I'm wearing one of mine right now - not sure they qualify as work attire, but I wore it with nice pants and heels and put on earrings so I figured what the helll.
