I took the BB plunge

LOL my first Blackberry. have to say I am quite intimidated LMAO. Where do ya'll get your themes, apps, ringtones?

Re: I took the BB plunge

  • LOL! I'm not technologically advanced enough for my regular LG Rumor, so I couldn't even begin to tell ya where to start. Just wanted to say congrats! I heard those Crackberry's can be pretty addicting, so be careful ;)

  • I'm thinking of taking the plunge soon too (my sidekick has seen better days). But I dont know wether to get a BB or a Iphone... Let me know how it goes and how you like it.
  • OMG I LOOOOVE MY BLACKBERRY!!! I have the "Storm" from Verizon, and it's great.

I get my ringtones directly through verizon. I have really only downloaded one (sex and the city theme song)... BUT actually, I used the internet browser and googled "zebra fabric swatches" under images.google.com and used that as my background. You can just save it like a normal file on a computer, and use it that way.

    GL :)

  • Welcome to the CrackBerry, I mean BlackBerry LOL addiction!
  • I am SOOOO addicted to my crackberry! And unfortunately it has a crack down the screen so it is, quite literally, a crackberry. Haha. I need to get it replaced.

I have the Curve with Verizon and I loooove it. I am particuarly fond of BBM, which is kind of like instant messenger for blackberry users. All you have to do to use it is get someone's pin (on the curve it can be found under Options/Status) and then you use that number to add a contact in the BBM app.

Also, don't buy ringtones! I set up an account with Myxer.com and you can create your own ringtones with mp3 files and email or text them to your phone. I haven't bought one since my friend introduced me to that site. And  it's not only for blackberry users, it works on most phones.

  • Thanks ladies I am already loving my phone. I love the BBM as well. Thanks for the myxer website eli!

  • an easy way to send your pin to your friends is by typing the words mypin (just like that without a space) in a text to them. automatically, when you type it, your pin will appear as pin:XXXXXXX
