Photography question

Hi ladies,

I know this is a Nest board, but I was wondering if you would be willing to help a Knottie out?  I did post this over on the WI on the Knot, but I thought maybe you guys had some experience you'd be willing to share...

 The Knot post:

"Has anyone had any experience with Kaye Photography? They're out of Plymouth, WI, and if the rates on their site are still in effect, they are EXTREMELY affordable - but it also makes me wonder what they're like to work with, etc. I do like the pics that are up on the site, though.

As for Two Guys and Some Cameras, they're pretty much my only other option for photography; they're willing to give us a lower rate for less time than their basic package which is nice, but they are still more expensive than Kaye Photography. If anyone has used Two Guys, which photographer did you work with? What kind of direction did they give? Same questions for those who have used Kaye.

Also, how important are getting E-pics? We weren't planning on getting them, but if we don't, I'm worried about showing up for my wedding only to have a photographer we don't mesh with. :"

TIA for any and all help!!

Re: Photography question

  • I use Two Guys and L O V E D them. They did an amazing job and were incredibly awesome to work with. Recommend them hands down. Our church originally wouldn't allow any pictures during the ceremony, but we talked our Pastor into it and he said that the guys did such an amazing job that they were welcome back any day. I heard great things about them all day long from our guests and every single one of the well over 2,000 pictures they took were great. :) We had both Neal and Ben (the owners). I think my husband and I prefered Ben over Neal, but mostly because that's who we met with before the wedding. My SIL booked them a month after our wedding for their August of 2010 wedding and have friends thinking about going with them. Worth every penny!!!!
  • Hello!

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the photographers you've mentioned, but my husband and I are photographers together and we love documenting weddings so perhaps I can help by giving you my insight.

I'd say if you're able to hire two photographers over one, it is an incredibly worth-while investment, as this assures that no moments of your day will be missed! Engagement sessions are a lot of fun and they make your wedding day even more comfortable for the two of you since you are already comfortable with those who will be such a big part of your special day. E-sessions are very relaxed and such a fun experience for you and your fiance to share in! They can be as serious or silly as you want - from an afternoon in your favorite park to playing in the rain, leaves or snow together.

Best of luck to you and Happy Planning! :)
