Monday Workout Accountability?

It seems like there's a whole sleu of ladies who are having a hard time getting back into the swing of workouts post-wedding. I've been in a funk for the past couple of weeks (mainly since I hurt my tail bone), but was finally able to snap out of it and get a workout in this morning. I'm hoping I can keep it up every day this week. I'm voting we go back to posting our workouts and being accountable to each other. Who's in?

This morning I did:

Low-bar Back Squat, 3 sets of 3 at 135 lbs. Was hoping to go a lot heavier, but I didn't realize how much strength I've lost by not lifting.

Then:

As many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of the following: 30 situps, 20 squats, 10 pullups.

I completed 4 rounds + situps + squats, totallying 150 situps, 100 squats, 40 pullups. That's a lot of work in 12 minutes! 

Anybody else want to help motivate the group?

  • Sly, C. Real sly.  The moment passed. Now I'm drowsy and slightly headache-y. I told myself if DH was going to the gym I'd go too, but he's still sleeping. I don't even think I'll make it to the hair salon today. :/

  • Aww Mames, sorry you're feeling so rotten. Do you think you're coming down with something? Maybe crawl in bed with hubs and hope the funk wears off. I swear though, this post was not directed at you!  I was reading through some of the posts on the "Good Morning Ladies" thread and realized that there are a ton of us who can't seem to get in a gym groove. Hopefully we can motivate each other.

  • Awww, hi Chazzy!!! He's getting so big.

     

    I went to an 8 am spin class this morning, and the exercise really wasn't the hard part for me.  I'm more proud of the fact that I used the 3 and a half hours I have in the morning between waking up and going to work to do something productive.  I usually just sit at the computer and waste space.  


  • DH and I are going to BodyPump tonight.  I went quite a bit before the wedding but have been slacking since.  He's going for the first time to help motivate me.

    I haven't exercised in 2 weeks :(

    One week on vac-ay and this past week sick as a dog. I miss it. I will totally jump on the wagon as soon as I can.?

  • i jogged almost 3 miles today... its been a while since i've gone running, and I am pretty happy that i was able to keep going for that long. But i need to start reintroducing strength training.

    i've slacked so much since the wedding, i need to get rid of the extra 10 pounds...ugh. so i am definitely in!!?
