Gettysburg Area ladies
Can you tell me now "packed" Gettysburg gets for their Rememberance Day Parade?
My dh wants to go up this year and finding a hotel in town is impossible because they are all booked up. He wanted 1 in town so we wouldnt have to worry about finding a spot to watch the parade,
My question is the town really that packed with people that finding a spot along the route hard to come by?
Or do you have any suggestions on where to watch the parade? We are familair with Gettysburg we go multiple times a year...just never been on Rememberance day.

Town is going to be filled, but if you get there early enough, you should be fine to get a spot along the route. My DH says that if you want to follow the parade all the way up to the cemetery, then it would be best to get a spot closer to the cemetery so you don't have to walk as far then... or, alternatively, get a spot at the beginning of the parade and then just aim to walk faster than the parade is going to get to the cemetery beforehand.
Not surprising that everything is already booked. Gburg tends to book a year or more in advance, particularly for big weekends (some will book up as much as three years in advance). Really, though, having a hotel in town wouldn't necessarily guarantee you a spot on the parade route... just easier to deal with parking if you were at a hotel.
