Your gym is some serious shiznits!  Holy cow girl is all I can think when looking at there pictures and picturing you working out there.  LOL

Re: Andrea&Scott

  • Julie!

Yay, I know someone on this board!

I know... some of those pictures are insane.  Although I'm sure you figured out, I can't "quite" do all that crazy stuff... yet!

    When you coming in?

  • I don't know..it looks very intimidating.  I belong to Bally's.  Out of curiousity how much are their memberships?
  • $150/month - it's a lot, but it's worth it I swear

  • Holy crapola!  I paid $100 for the whole year at my gym!
  • I always say that it is a whole lot more expensive than a normal gym membership, BUT if you were to pay for personal training at a gym, it costs a whole lot more there plus you only have a set amount of time per week, whereas at Crossfit you can come in every day and get personal training - WOW, that was a long run on sentence!

  • Hey, sorry to hijack.  I am a crossfit nasti fan on Facebook.  I do a lot of crossfit with my trainer at the gym I go to, as well as during my independent workouts, so it's fun to see others doing it, too.  I've thought about joining, but I am too attached to my trainer and can't justify his training costs, my gym membership where he is, my gym membership for my daily workouts (I moved an hour away from the trainer so I can'tdrive an hour to his gym more than once a week) AND crossfit.  Do you know if it's possible to buy a package that is based on # of visits and not monthly?
  • Hi Lauren!

I am not really sure they work that way.  I think it is just a flat $150/month.  However, it would not hurt to stop in - check out the gym and ask one of the trainers there that question.  That's awesome you're doing crossfit!  What gym are you training at?

** There are also people that still "do" crossfit without coming into the gym; they just do whatever the WOD (workout of the day) is - you just gotta have all the equipment either at home or at the gym you go to.

  • The gym my trainer is at is a small place in Madeira/ Indian Hill.  I usually work out at Urban Active in Eastgate bc I live way the heck out in Bethel and there is NOTHING fitness wise there.  Perhaps I will stop in on a Saturday morning workout.  I am pretty comfortable with my technique and ability so I think I could hang (minus pull ups...i SUCK at those)...

Do you only do crossfit? I love it, but don't feel it's as well rounded as it could be.

  • Hey, did you end up stopping in on Saturday?  I didn't go in over the weekend.

Because of the cost of crossfit itself, I let my Urban Active membership expire.  I wasn't going very  much, maybe a few spinning classes here and there.  So yeah, I only do crossfit right now.  Lately, it's been a lot of strength (which I love) but I know I need to do the cardio!  Watch, now that I say that, tomorrow's WOD will be a 5k - yuck!
