re: Canon G10, do you find it fast enough?  I know you said you have a dslr, but how much slower would you say this is?

  • Well, I'd say it's fast enough for what I'm taking pictures of - I can't remember a single occasion where shutter lag was so bad that I "miss my moment."  It's not as fast as a film camera (almost instant), but it's great for what I do with it - travel, cute kitty, hanging out with friends, etc.  If you're into something like sports photography, I'd consider moving up to a DSLR instead, but for a point and shoot, it's great and has nice quality pictures. Oh and it starts up from off to on and ready to shoot REALLY fast, like maybe a second or so. It's awesome.
