Poll: Anniversaries

Since it's my 1 year anniversary today, I thought it'd be fun to find out what everyone else has done for their anniversaries.

1) What is the favorite thing you and your DH have done for an anniversary?

2) What is the sweetest/most romantic anniversary surprise your DH has planned for you?

3) What is the most creative thing you've done for your DH for an anniversary?

4) Did you get each other the traditional or modern gifts associated with each year of marriage? (i.e. 1st=paper or clocks etc.)

Re: Poll: Anniversaries

  • Happy Anniversary!

    1) What is the favorite thing you and your DH have done for an anniversary? Well, we have only had 1 anniversary so for and I was 37 weeks pregnant so we didn't do much of anything besides go out to dinner. (I think.... I can't really remember actually.)

    2) What is the sweetest/most romantic anniversary surprise your DH has planned for you? There is back story to this. When he proposed to me he wrote me a poem. (He is really good at that sort of stuff.) Well, for our first anniversary he added stuff about our baby to the poem. He made a shadow box to put the poem in with pictures from our wedding and rose petals from special occasions in our life. (I save at least 1 rose out of every boquet that I get.)

    3) What is the most creative thing you've done for your DH for an anniversary? It wasn't very creative. It was just a book of personal coupons. There were even things in there like 'Get out of 1 chore free" and "1 guy's night out with no complaints".

    4) Did you get each other the traditional or modern gifts associated with each year of marriage? (i.e. 1st=paper or clocks etc.) Yes, paper. DH wrote his poem on paper and my coupons were paper.

  • 1) What is the favorite thing you and your DH have done for an anniversary?

Every year we go to a different island in the carribean. It's nice to get away, we usually have a special dinner at our resort.

    2) What is the sweetest/most romantic anniversary surprise your DH has planned for you?

He suprised me by booking our trip to the DR in January.

    3) What is the most creative thing you've done for your DH for an anniversary?

Stayed out drinking with him until 3am...haha, I'm usually in bed by 10pm!

    4) Did you get each other the traditional or modern gifts associated with each year of marriage? (i.e. 1st=paper or clocks etc.)

Nope! We went on a nice trip

I call BS on my wife.  I followed tradition and Amber got "paper" for her anniversary gift.  It was a Douglas J gift card (they don't have gift certificates).

As my note states, they don't have gift certificates, so you got a gift card ;)~

  • Well then, Jeff, it wasn't a paper gift... better luck next year.
  • lol @ Jeff. I'll give him a point for it. It counts.
