Samurai on Elliston is really good. It is kinda a hole in the wall but very good and creative sushi. I also love PM on Belmont. It isn't specifically a sushi restaurant, more Asian fusion but they have really good sushi.
Ditto on Samurai, good food. Service there is hit or miss though. RuSan's is popular, but I'm not a big fan. There's a new place in Hillsboro Village, Zumi Sushi, that's supposed to be good, but I haven't made it out yet. And, I can't remember the name of it, but there was a good place in Goodlettsville, right off Gallatin Pike, I *think* it was in the same shopping center as Pier 1. I haven't lived there in over 2 years, but I know this is the sushi place we went to most often, and always had great food and good service.
Virago I LOVE, but my wallet can't handle it very often. They used to do 1/2 priced sushi on Monday nights, do they still do this? It could get a little crazy busy in there sometimes on those nights, and not ALL their rolls are half priced. But the sushi is inventive and the cocktails are good too!
