Ok so we have a couple of options. We could do one of the cheese places like Kat mentioned or both. The one you can do tours to see how cheese is made. We would need to do this on a weekend as they close at 5 during the week.
Or we could have it at someones house and each person brings a different type of cheese and a bottle of wine. Or you bring one or the other.
Re: Possible cheese/wine gtg
1. I could care less how cheese is made. I just want it in my mouth.
2. This sounds fun, but a restaurant (where they clean the dishes and bring me cheese on demand) sounds better.
3. I guess it doesn't really matter if it's not in Dec.
Depends on the prices of the tour. Both sound like fun, but I think option too might be more finacially feasible for more peple. I'd hate for anyone to be left out because of cost.
I am more than happy to host but I do kinda of have a small apt, think the size of Becki's old living room plus kitchen. I can move furniture out of the way. It all depends on how many people are interested.
Brandy can do an evening gtg on Friday, Dec 18th. I am free that date as well.
If it means Brandy comes I vote for option two.
I kinda like option 2. Seeing how it's made is not a huge deal to me...I agree with Brandy - as long as I can eat it, that's all that matters. :-)
Another idea is to have a wine, cheese and CHOCOLATE tasting! Maybe separate and assign them out by say...country?
I also think this would be a good GTG for December. When are you coming out B?
I like the home party idea- I have a wine fridge that is completely full right now, lol. Plus I love going to BevMo or other cheezy places to find yummy options for fancy-ish cheese for cheap!
I propose a third leg to this journey however.... CHOCOLATE!
Wine, Cheese and Chocolate... sounds like a wonderful dream
**EDIT** Sorry Lori! I didn't see your post, lol... great minds think alike right?!Cheese, Wine and Chocolate... Yesss!
Best GTG idea ever.
I love this idea, but I like #2 better. Just seems more flexible.
Nov or Dec is fine by me since I know we will have a gtg for Dec with Brandy either way.
I agree with everyone else. Wine, cheese and chocolate sounds wonderful.
I say we save the tour one till the kids are older and than we can take them to see the cows and all that fun stuff.
As for the other place I can down there and check out pricing and all that. Or maybe they have a to-go package or something.
So does Fri, Dec 18th work?
It's the furthest away from Christmas that Brandy can come too.
I'm throwing Mary's birthday party the next day so hopefully it won't be too crazy around my house and I'll be able to go.
Excuses, Excuses... I don't want to hear it.
I will come early on Sat to help you set up for Mary's party just so you will come to the gtg. Heck I would even drive out Thursday night to help you.
Then you'll definitly need to wine. And a bottle to go to get through the party.
Bwahahahha!
Val's can't post, but she asked me to vote for her. *waves cheese up & down in front of Val* She said yes!

Don't make promises you can't keep. Cause I'm going to hold you to that now.
haha... pinky swear!
**Blocking off Dec 18th** I just have to make sure either DH or my parents can watch the kids.
I think next year we should plan a party making GTG. With all these babies born around the same time we could all GTG to help make party decorations and such. Or if you don't have kids you can scrapbook or whatever.
Fyi, If I'm driving from az on thursday night, going to the gtg friday AND throwing C's party on saturday, you can make it.
Don't make me t.p. your house.
Ahh do it anyway, instead of TP just use streamers and you've taken care of the outside party decor. Now Kristy can check one more thing off her to do list.
With a couple pink balloons please.
Or just come and eat cheese and chocolate!
Ok, at least they'll be at least 2 of us.
