Anyone in the Terre Haute Area?
I'm thinking of starting a couples dinner club or some sort of get together club that might meet once a month for fun and conversation...anyone interested and live in the Terre Haute area, or willing to commute let me know!
Re: Anyone in the Terre Haute Area?
I'm no help. I'm in Indy, but I wanted to say welcome to the area. I feel your pain. I moved here not too long ago, and I still don't know very many people.
Good luck with your transition!
Thank you, I like to find the good in everything! We've been to Indy a couple of times since moving here. I'm thinking of starting a dinner club or something so if you're interested in starting something like that let me know!
It would be probably a once a month type deal. I think we are about an hour from Indy. Where did you move from?
I am no help either, I am right outside of Indy. But good luck, I moved here about a year ago and it has been hard for me, I still don't know anyone here.
I hope you have much better luck!
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who feels like they don't know anybody in the region. I'm in Lafayette/W. Lafayette area. My husband goes to Purdue, and despite my best efforts, I don't have a full time teaching job, so I'm substitute teaching in the area. When I last moved to a new place (Springfield, MA), I met people through work (teaching 2nd grade). Since I'm at different schools every day, it's really hard to get to know anyone very well.
I've met several of the people that are in the history program with my husband at Purdue and while they are very nice and welcoming, I'd like to meet some people outside of that circle. Oh well, guess I'll just continue doing what I'm doing and eventually will meet some cool people to hang out with!
I live and work in TH- I've actually lived here my whole life, and am just browsing through the Nest boards. Are you here going to school or did you move here for a job?
