Jack's 2 mo appt was yesterday!

And he is just a wee little peanut, weighing in a 10lbs 1 oz at the 25th percentile and 23inches and 50% for height(length)  I was knew he was in the 10s but thought closer to 11...and after seeing Connors weight(in Beth's siggy) and hearing Jack being in the 25th...I was alarmed when the doc told us...but she says no worries...it's no indication of how big he will be, nor does it really mean anything, so long as he has a steady increase that matches the growth curve.  Otherwise he had his shots and his rotavirus vaccine and took them all like a champ...slept for 5 hours yesterday afternoon so while it meant he wasn't feeling 100% it was sure a nice break for Mom hehe!

I think he is back to normal and crying in his bassinet as we speak...better cut this short.  Just wanted to say that my boy is growing like a weed...can't believe it's been 8 weeks!  Oh and my healing is going FANTASTICALLY!  I can't wait for the doc to see me on Friday, so I can hear how fab it is :-)  Maybe I will be able to swim this summer afterall!

  • ok, that little pout in your siggie is so saaaaaaaaaad :( Poor baby!
  • Glad to hear you had a good appointment, what a cute little peanut, those pictures in your signature are so adorable!!!!!!!!
  • aww hes getting so big!!

I love your pic siggy!!! that is very clever!

Also i think Jack looks like you and hubby combained.

  • Oh, and more relevant to your post...Don't worry about it. :) That's pretty much exactly where Alex has been every time. It's not a matter of where they are on the percentiles, really, it's how they GROW. If they stay steady or go up  percentiles, that's perfect. It's when they aren't growing well that those percentiles really come into play- it helps the MDs see if there may be a problem. :)
  • Glad to hear all is well.

  • OMG his little pouty lip is PRICELESS!!!!
  • Awwww, glad to hear you are both doind well! he is adorable
  • Yay! So glad he did so well with his shots and that he is growing nicely - who cares that he's in the 25th percentile...anytime anyone asks me "did you ask the doctor his percentile" I tell them I didn't, because I don't...it really doesn't mean anything - he is going to grow more and more and be a nice healthy boy and that's all that matters :)
