MH and I are already starting to think about what we'll do for Wai's first birthday. What are you planning on doing or what did you do for your baby's birthday?
Re: Baby Birthday Plans?
This is a perfect post
MH and I were thinking about that already too! (Only b.c if you want to rent a rec. center in Mililani, you should reserve it a year in advance) We looked at having her birthday party at either Tiki's, Tsukiji's or Willow's, but we are now considering having a small soire at home and going on our first trip as a family. . .
We are also considering birthday "themes"-- and will probably go with a bug theme since we call brooke "buggy" or "brooke bug"... not to mention that she came home in a ladybug onesie and will be ladybug for halloween.
What are you guys thinking of doing? By the way, Wai is frickin gorgeous! Look at those eyes! & I'm not sure if you visited Oahu yet, but Babies R Us opened last week... you might want to check it out...

Good idea! B is totally against the idea of the traditional huge 1st bday party that everyone in HI has. I'd much rather go on a trip.
Aw, thanks Lori. She's our little poser for sure! Brooke is absolutely beautiful!!! I just want to squeeze those cute little cheekies!
I REALLY like your idea to do something small at home and then go on a trip. We'll probably rent out our local neighborhood center and have the traditional baby luau. My husband has agreed not to go overboard with the guest list. We had 400+ people at our wedding and it was just too much. Don't want to do that ever again! I definitely want to keep it on the mellow side. I'm pretty sure we're going to have an under-the-sea theme.
We were on Oahu 9/11-13. Didn't make it to Babies R Us, but we will have to go next time. We got to go to Target though! Loooove Target!
