National Feral Cat Day:

No More Homeless Pets in Utah September 24, 2009

feral cats Dear Animal Lover Calling all "Crazy Cat Ladies!" National Feral Cat Day is fast approaching and we need your help to spread awareness of feral cats in Utah!

Feral in BoxNational Feral Cat Day We need your help to make it a success! National Feral Cat Day (NFCD) is a day dedicated to spreading awareness of feral cats all over the country. It's also a day committed to educating the public on important programs like Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR). TNR is an effective system of trapping feral cats, spaying or neutering them, and then releasing them back into their colonies. This system helps keep ferals healthy, stops overpopulation, and in turn, decreases shelter intake and unnecessary euthanasia.

Here in Utah, we're taking National Feral Cat Day one step further!

We want to spread the message that EVERYONE is capable of helping feral cats, not just "Crazy Cat Ladies" In fact, you need not be "Crazy" or even a "Lady". Regardless of age or gender, you can help spread awareness of ferals in Utah. If you've ever fostered a homeless cat, took in a stray, or fed a feral (or 10!), we invite you to join our "Crazy Cat Lady" Club!
