my period is late by almost a week.  I took a preggo test this morning and it was negative.  I can't decide if I'm disapointed or relieved.

 Today is my DH's birthday. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited about his gift that I got him -- it's 1) an awesome gift (38 bottle Whirlpool wine chiller) and 2) it was 50% off the retail price so this will make us both happy, obviously. I was practically begging to give it to him this morning and he was like, "I'll do it tonight". Gee, if it's that bothersome, don't bother...jerk. The puppy and I walked to go get him fresh baked donuts this morning and he said he didn't want them, didn't want to take them to work, and didn't open the birthday card on the counter for him. What a grouch...29 does bad things to men, ugh!

I am annoyed with people who choose not to follow simple instructions. I am co-hosting a bridal shower for one of my best friend next weekend and while most people are able to RSVP on time there are always those stragglers who do not. What really bothers me though, is that we have requested a recipe from everyone to make the bride a "favorites cookbook." I have gotten several responses from guest telling me that, "I dont cook, so I don't have any." Really? These are 30-50 year old women that can't come up with a single recipe? That's just lazy.

I'm going to visit my cousin and her newborn baby in the hospital later today and I am dreading going.  Frankly, a root canal or a migraine sounds better right now.  I love my cousin and her husband but it's really hard to put on my phony "I'm so happy" persona for them.  Yes, I'm very happy for them but admit to an irrational jealousy that she has it so easy, as does my sister, sister in law and everyone else I know. Flame away.
