Madison family picture locations?
have any ideas for where we should go to get outdoor pictures taken in mid-October?

We did ours last fall at the Capital building & Monona Terrace. They turned out really cute. This summer, we had them done at Lake Kegonsa State Park (one of them is in my sig).
You could also do Olbrich, but our photographer said they charge more to do a photo shoot in there, and they impose a time limit (which is why we did the park).
You could check out some local photographers' blogs and websites for location ideas, too.
An apple orchard like Eplegaarden would make for some great fall pics. Like these,
